On Saturday September 7th 2024 Last Train Home Festival 2024 took place across 3 venues in Darlington to promote
The Festival promoted 6 different stages across the 3 venues including a Noisy Daughters stage and a NARC Magazine stage all of which can be seen below.
As you can see from the image, the Festival had an incredible amount of talent for punters to experience throughout the whole of the day. All of the venues were merely minutes walk from one another so it was easy for visitors to switch between stages and venues to catch a glimpse of the sets of so many of the talents on offer.
I was part of the volunteering team meaning I had the opportunity to get hands on with helping out during the festival, but in addition to my voluntary shift, I was also given the chance to attend the festival as a guest and get to enjoy some of the talent for myself. The team at Tracks also very kindly allowed to bring my camera along and take some photos during my time there so it was a great opportunity to enjoy the talent and also to practice my photography skills a little more in the hope that practice will make perfect.
I was able to dash about and get the chance to see 10 different performances and grab a few pictures while I was there all of which you can check out below. I know my photography skills still leave something to be desired but one thing I’ve learnt is that there is no better way to improve than just getting stuck in and doing it and this festival gave me the chance to do just that and so given that it was my first time photographing a Live Event I’m pretty happy with how my photos turned out.

Avalanche Party (The room was packed out for these guys and I managed to sneak away from my shift for a quick moment to snap a couple of pics. Considering I was in the doorway behind a crowd of people just holding my camera above my head and snapping I don’t think they’ve turned out too bad.)
